Garry R. LaneGarry has practiced general civil litigation in State and Federal court for almost 28 years. His diverse practice includes personal injury, products liability, employment, business and aviation litigation.
Garry spends considerable time practicing in federal court in cases in New Hampshire and elsewhere, where he is primary counsel and where he is hired to assist out-of-state firms on their cases. Garry knows the pitfalls of federal practice well and has successfully assisted many to a successful resolution of their federal court cases either through negotiated settlement or trial.
In aviation, Garry normally represents only the defense, including aviation insurers, manufacturers, pilots, FBO’s, and airlines, but in other cases he represents plaintiffs and defendants. As a long time pilot, Garry has an extensive aviation background that is valuable to clients in such cases. Garry has a special interest in severe burn injury cases and has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in such cases. In addition to litigation, he also represents several small businesses in miscellaneous general legal issues and helping them avoid litigation.
Garry is an active member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, and has served its Continuing Legal Education Committee putting together and presenting numerous seminars to train lawyers and is a past member of the Bar Association’s Board of Governors. He mediates and arbitrates cases for the Bar Association, for the Superior Courts and is available for private mediations and arbitrations. Garry is also trained as a marital mediator and volunteers his time to represent clients through the Bar Association Pro Bono Referral Service and DOVE, an organization which provides legal assistance to women and children dealing with domestic violence.
Garry was born in Rochester, New Hampshire on May 14, 1954 and has been practicing law since 1980. Garry and his children live in Concord, New Hampshire. He is a licensed instrument rated pilot and also flies sailplanes. He is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and the Soaring Society of America.
