Lawrence S. Smith has over 27 years of experience and practices in the areas of medical malpractice defense of physicians and other healthcare providers; products liability; and civil litigation on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. He is a member of the federal and state bars, Defense Research Institute, the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys, and the Litigation Section and the Tort and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association.

Prior to joining the firm at its inception in 1979, Larry served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Larry graduated from Colgate University in 1970 and from the University of Michigan Law School in 1973.
