Charlie has considerable experience in handling civil rights claims, employment litigation, mediation, arbitration, and other complex civil litigation.

Charlie was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1952 and raised in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. In addition to his trial and appellate work, Charlie has been a regular member of the New Hampshire Bar Association Ethics Committee and Federal Court and State Court mediation programs and has participated in numerous civil litigation seminars for the New Hampshire Bar Association.

In 1986, Charlie argued Town of Newton v. Rumery, 480 U.S. 386 (1987), a civil rights case dealing with release/dismissal practices, before the United States Supreme Court, the First Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court in New Hampshire. Although seven of the thirteen Federal judges who heard this case agreed with the legitimacy of his client's position, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 4-1-4 against!
