- John is the former Chair of the New Hampshire chapter of the American
College of Trust and Estate Counsel
Born
Charlottesville, Virginia, August 20, 1943, John was raised in New Hampshire and is
married to Judy. They have three children: Johanna (a 1997 Amherst grad now teaching
English in Shanghai), Abbie (a Yale sophomore), and Peter (a senior at St. Paul's School).
John is a Concord Rotary Club member,
Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Concord Public Library, a member of the Board of
the Concord Chamber of Commerce, and otherwise a do-gooder locally. He has been a Form
Director for his St. Paul's School Class (1991-96), President of the Amherst College class
of '65 and at present is the alumni fund class agent for Amherst '65'ers. He has served as
New Hampshire State Chair for the American
College of Trust and Estate Counsel ("ACTEC"). Fun means tennis, squash, skiing,
mountain climbing, jogging, and reading.
When attaining more lofty goals seems too complicated, achievement means cutting grass,
gardening, painting the
house, cooking and washing the dishes.
