Joe is one of the founders of
Ransmeier & Spellman and a Fellow and past New Hampshire State Chair of the American
College of Trust and Estate Counsel
Joe
was born in New Orleans, LA on June 19, 1915. In 1952, he joined Sulloway, Hollis,
Godfrey & Soden, Concord, N.H. (partner, 1957-78), and founded Ransmeier &
Spellman in 1979. He formerly served as a Director of Concord Electric Company, Concord
Savings Bank and Community Bankshares. He is author of The Tennessee Valley Authority,
(Vanderbilt U. Press 1942) and contributor of articles in various professional journals.
Joe lives with his wife,
Margaret, at their country home in Hopkinton where they raised four children. He has
served as Town Selectman and School Board member as well as member of the Hopkinton
Village Planning Board, Board of Adjustment and Moderator. His lifelong interest in the
out-of doors made him an early conservationist and more recently a dedicated environmental
protectionist. Other interests are gardening, tennis, classical music and the dream of a
World Series win for the Chicago White Sox! Representative memberships: Visitors
